Now, first off, I have been a fan of John Mayer since he started, and have always respected and even emulated his mind-blowing guitar work since I've started playing, I am simply declaring he might be a pop star currently, but try to imagine what kind of unpredictable music he will make with his guitar and blues talent when he ISN'T a young teen icon and an aging musician? Only time will tell...
On further note on today's theme of tattoos, heres another one about some band thats been popping around in my head recently (this blog was supposed to mainly be about music wasn't it?):

Straight out of Atlanta, GA..... enter the Mastodon. Heavy, methodic, deep band member experienced lyrics, shredding guitar solos the right way for once, Mastodon is a Heavy band for any musician. Their drummer tears up jazz metal beats that will blow your mind. The bassists vocals will stun you while he tears it apart amist keeping driving Mastodon's insanity into your ears. Both guitarists are amazing, they can perform perfectly live no matter what place their heads are at because "what we play is so infused into us from writing that we know it easily even tho you might think it complicated"
The highlight of the band to me is guitarist/lead vocalist Brent Hines. Featured above in the picture, he stands out as the intimidating forefront of this band. Believe me, dig into this band and you will see how all of them are very deep and very prominent members if not the best, however that is what makes this band cross the border so many bands can not, into the category of legendary. Brent Hines stands out to me, however I don't doubt a different member of this band stands out to you. Each of them are special, and combined this band is already exploding right now, touring with Metallica, and featured in Rolling Stone.
Enough me being a music reporter of probably old news because I'm new to this stuff, ummm... let me think of something....
Can't, so I'm out for tonight:
